27 Dec - AiFi Closes the Year with a Bang at NASCAR
AiFi is proud to share that we are bringing the speed of frictionless checkout to the NASCAR Phoenix Raceway for the Championship Races.
We were selected by Phoenix Raceway after a test launch with both AiFi and Amazon Go solutions at the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship in November. AiFi demonstrated such success that Phoenix Raceway will bring the AiFi-powered “Pit Stop” store back for the next race in Spring 2023.
"We were impressed with how quickly AiFi was able to get the store up and running," said Julie Giese, President of Phoenix Raceway, NASCAR. "Our fans excitedly welcomed this new way to shop, and were even more excited to get back to their seats quicker, without missing much of the race. We're excited to continue working with AiFi to see what other experiences we can bring to our fans for future races."
According to AiFi data, we processed a transaction every 10 seconds, as our CTO, João Diogo Falcão told Phoenix Business Journal this month, “For a couple hours, there was a transaction every 10 seconds. That was a huge milestone for us to see it work in an intense environment with people coming in and out very, very quickly.”
Utilizing AiFi’s flexible computer vision technology, the NASCAR autonomous “Pit Stop” delivers convenience and solves a major pain point of race-goers – long lines that cause them to miss out on the action. Our checkout-free solution allows race attendees to shop without waiting in line to pay by simply tapping their credit card at the entrance, choosing their items, and walking out with their receipt delivered to their phone within minutes. With shorter wait times, fans end up coming back to repurchase, resulting in higher traffic and more revenue for the store.
